PROJECT INFORMATION (required)

1. Develop lessons or a unit which integrates technology into your curriculum instruction. Be ready to share the project (up to 10 minutes) with the class on Friday. If appropriate, please bring additional copies of the materials for your project to class for other participants.

Your project should be based on a unit plan that would be used in a classroom setting and should include the following:

An introduction to the lesson or unit. This should include the timeline for implementation copies of the classroom materials for the unit at least three components including a web component all sources and pictures cited
a rubric for evaluation

2. Description:

The written description of the design of the project is due on Friday. Post this information on your blog. It should address all the areas listed below:

  • Need for change addressed by this project (Why are you undertaking this project? For example, is it an old project that you want to do in a new way?)
  • Expected outcomes (What will it look like if your project is successful?)
  • Activities correlated with objectives (How will you undertake this project?)
  • Timeline for implementation (When will you accomplish each piece of your project?)
  • Measures of accomplishment (If your project is successful, how will you know?)

  • Reflect on your blog: How will these tools help me do an old project in a new way in my classroom?
  • Reflect on your blog: What is your reaction to the Generation M article?
  • Post a reflection on the class blog posting about the article Listen to the Natives.
  • Create a new category in your blog called Project. Post your project idea on your blog. Make the heading CLASSROOM PROJECT.
  • Comment on one of your classmates blogs you have subscribed to.
  • OPTIONAL: Create a Flickr account and upload some photos. Create tags for your photos.
